Friends of Niagara Parks - Niagara Glen
A Word from the President:
"When I first heard that there were meetings to discuss a forming of a Friend of group for the Niagara Parks Commission and specifically at this time the Niagara Glen, I was interested after having spent my youth hiking and fishing in various areas of the gorge and Niagara Glen that I began to appreciate the beauty of these spectacular areas and the treasure that we have right here in the Niagara Region. This is one of the reasons I decided to become involved in The Friends of the Niagara Parks. As a Group the Friends of the Niagara Parks – Niagara Glen Group have organized clean ups of the Niagara Glen and surrounding areas. We have hosted an Earth Day event with various like minded groups participating; have lead tours and planting of Native Trees. I invite everyone who has visited The Niagara Parks and have seen the beauty of our Natural areas and Historic Site and would like to help protect and preserve, to become involved in our Friends of the Niagara Parks group and help us in cooperation with the Niagara Parks Commission in promoting sound stewardship ethics."
